I'm seeking assistance from an attorney familiar with family law in Illinois. I share custody and placement with the father of my son and he is attempting to modify the placement schedule and the child support order (again). This is about round 4 for us with him taking matters to court in order to try to get me to agree to arrangements that are not in the best interest of our son. He makes substantially more money than I do, and I am not willing again to hire an attorney through the regular avenues (i.e. paying thousands of dollars in retainer fees) as this has not worked for me in the past because he can always outspend me and he is also very good at wearing the lawyers down with unreasonable demands and behavior.
