1962 cadillac miller & meteor 'landau traditional' 3-way side-loader hearse We discovered this Miller and Meteor Funeral Coach in Arizona. It was delivered originally to San Francisco, ca. where it spent most of it's life. It was then retired to Eureka, Nevada in 1995 where it was used locally for a "Flower Delivery Car" by a small Flower Shop. At 46 years young, it then moved to Phoenix az in Dec. 2008. Consequently, the body has never seen more than minor rust and carries the extra bonus of never having been in an accident. Like most Funeral Coaches it had several color changes in it's life to match the owners "current fleet" but, the last owner subjected it to a complete disassemble, strip and re-paint Back to Black finish in Base Coat/Clear Coat. This is an extremely rare M&M "Trimatic Casket Table" version, a " 3-Way Side Loader" which allows the Casket 'Box' to be loaded/unloaded from either side of the curb, or from the rear. This is one very rare Funeral Coach. One of 129 "3-Way" side-loaders built by Superior Motor Coach in 1964. It was custom built for and purchased new by a funeral home in northeast Colorado and used full-time at first, then sporadically up till 1996 when the owner promised the car to a close friend. He kept it in his 32 car collection when it passed to his estate. Like our 1962 Crown Sovereign Brougham, it took us nearly two years to buy this coach, as the reluctant heirs did not want to part with 'the memory'. We bought the car and placed it into restoration. Most would term this car an unbelievable "survivor" as it is amazing condition for 47 yrs. old. It is finished in Sable 9248 Black with two-tone Cream and Black Brocade interior with embroidered "Crown" headliner and Brocade side panels.
