This Pontiac Firebird Formula back in the day was the racers dream because it was lighter than the Trans Am and was known for being a very serious machine. Back in 1992 they actually ran a Formula called the Firehawk at the Daytona Speedway and posted some rather impressive stats. This was the beginning of the alliance with Street Legal Performance (slp) and Pontiac Motor Division. The T-Tops are just as American as this car.
