This wonderful Ford Falcon Futura has only 22,198 actual miles. We purchased the car from a gentleman who bought the car in 1981. It was originally a light yellow car with a straight 6-cylinder engine. The vin decodes as follows 2= 1962, H=Lorain, Ohio assembly plant, 17= 2-Door Futura, U= Falcon 170ci 6-Cylinder, 169,459=Basic production number. The Trim Tag decodes as follows Body 64C=Falcon 2-Door Sedan Futura, Color R=Tucson Yellow, Trim 86A=Black vinyl interior, Date 05A=January 05 build date, Axle 5=3.50:1, Trans 3=Fordomatic 2-speed automatic. In the early 1990s, the previous owner purchased a 289ci hi-po engine and had it rebuilt and installed. It was bored .30 over. There are only 1,000 miles on the motor. When the previous owner purchased the car it was 100% rust free and had all its original sheet metal. In 1993-1994 he had the car painted in Fords Chrome Yellow.
